He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Aten and Mary Brown Aten; his brother Thomas Aten; and his sister-in-law Bernadine Aten. He is survived by: his wife Linda Johnston Aten; his children, Susan Aten and Robert Aten (Lisa); his grandchildren, Madison, Olivia and Spencer Aten (Maddy); and his sister-in-law Nancy Johnston. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
