He was predeceased by: his parents, George Walker and Alice Gore Walker; his son-in-law David Merritt; his granddaughter Trista; and his siblings, Mary, Sheila and Michael.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Shorts; his children, Melanie Merritt of Saegertown, Eileen Bish and Michael Walker (Kristen) of Pittsburgh; his grandchildren, Amber Bradshaw (Patrick), Kyle (Jeremy), Justin Blackwelder (Heather), Hali Johnson and Emeli Brierly (Corey); and his siblings, Theresa (Jim), George (Linda), Kathleen (Jim), Brigid, Robert, Agnes and Edward (Sandy). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services (330 Broad St, Saegertown, PA 16433). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
