He is survived by: his wife Susan Shorts; his children, Melanie Merritt of Saegertown, Eileen Bish and Michael Walker (Kristen) of Pittsburgh; his grandchildren, Amber Bradshaw (Patrick), Kyle (Jeremy), Justin Blackwelder (Heather), Hali Johnson and Emeli Brierly (Corey); and his siblings, Theresa (Jim), George (Linda), Kathleen (Jim), Brigid, Robert, Agnes and Edward (Sandy). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and eight great-grandchildren.
