He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Young and Helen Johnston Young; his great grandchild Gavin; his brother Thomas Young; and his brother-in-law Richard Izbinski.

He is survived by : his wife Judy Himes; his children, Kimberly Young (Steve Lenze) of St. Marys, Randall Young (Wendy) of Kersey and Jeffrey Young; his granddaughters, Meagan Rothrock (Derek), Jolene Pyne (Joseph), Amanda Nussbaum (Josh Miller) and Haley Rupprecht (Shane Carr); his great grandchildren, Connor, Dominick, Jayce, Brooke, William, Vinny and Kenady; his sisters, Victoria Russell (Randy) of Ridgway and Debra Thomas (Gary) of Florida; and his friend Mike Reed. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
