Peter F. Engelberg Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter F. Engelberg (Saint Marys, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Engelberg and Anna Lemke Engelberg; and his siblings, Hilda Walker, Gerda Squires and Siegfried "Sig" Engelberg.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Lecker; his children, Anne Marie Heary (James) of St. Marys, Wendy Engelberg of California and William Engelberg of Canonsburg; his grandchildren, Sarah, Clara, Dominic Heary and Michael Engelberg; his brother Martin Engelberg (Judy) of Brockway; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret "Peg" Gorlowski of St. Marys, Earla Lecker of Wilcox and David Lecker (Lou Ann) of St. Marys. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (315 Church St, St Marys, PA 15857). A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (604 Joseph Rd, St Marys, PA 15857).
