He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Clinton and Murial Beatrice Dauer Stackpole; and his sister Sarah Jane Stackpole. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Geiger Irvin; his daughter Daisy Stackpole (Erik); and his siblings, Laurey Turner and Scott Stackpole.
