He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Pistner, and Marion Zwald Pistner, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn M. Newell; his children, Jacquelyn Surra (L. Dave) of Coal Hollow and Chris Pistner (Lisa Lavella) of Dagus Mines; his granddaughters, Sierra Hoffman (Nate) and Alexa Pistner (Coby Novak); and his siblings, Patricia Wehler and Jack Pistner of St. Marys.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Queen of the World Church (134 Queens Rd, St Marys, PA 15857). A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (604 Joseph St, St Marys, PA 15857).
