It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ray Whitfield of Saxton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos R. Whitfield and Beatrice Whitfield (Moffat). He is survived by: his children, Mark A. Whitfield (Eddie Hay), Cindy R. Segasser (Craig) and Susan B Park (Jerry). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity United Church of Christ (1001 Church St, Saxton, PA 16678). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
