He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Burns and Carrie "Dolly" Burns (Lantz); his brother John Burns; and his pet Odie. He is survived by: his wife Nadine K. Burns; his children, Mark Burns (Anita) of Saxton and Gina Swope (Bob) of Saxton; and his sister-in-law Patricia Burns of James Creek.
