It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Estes of Sayre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Estes to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Platt and Pauline Platt (Shaffer); her husband Leon Estes; and her brothers-in-law, Alfred, John (Millie), Clinton (Reva), Paul (Leona), Donald (Peggy), Eugene Estes (Roberta) and Keith Ferguson.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Estes of Elmira, NY; her sisters, Brenda Ferguson (Platt) and Leona Platt; and her brother-in-law K. Gary Chandler. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home (225 S Main St, Athens, PA 18810). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (225 S Main St, Athens, PA 18810).
