He is survived by: his wife Jean Northrup (Johnson); his daughters, Marion Northrup, Cathy Thomas and Pamela Cross (Greg); his grandchildren, Christopher Northrup, Renee Johnson (Calvin), David Stroud Jr. (Sara Johnson), Marybeth Kobbe (James Jr.), Darrin Stroud, Nesa Thomas, Kira Wait (Darryl), Paul Vanderpool (Rhonda), Jason Vanderpool (Katie), Brian Vanderpool, Tyler Vanderpool, Jacklyn Fontello (Ryan), Katie Martin (Nathen) and Megan Dinger (Ryan); and his siblings, Nancy Kellock, Sylvia Johnson (John), Vickie Shedden and Timothy Northrup (Tina).
