Leon M. Estes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2025, at the age of 90, Leon M. Estes of Sayre, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Estes and Mary Estes (VanRiper); and his brothers, Alfred, John, Paul, Donald and Eugene Estes.
He is survived by: his wife Betty M. Estes (Platt); his daughter Donna Estes; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Ferguson and Gary Chandler. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (225 S Main St, Athens, PA 18810). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Tioga Point Cemetery (803 N Main St, Athens, PA 18810).
