He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Lantz and Katherine Lantz (Golden); his son Thomas Lantz; his son-in-law Kevin Lee; and his siblings, Richard (Neva Lantz), Paul (Betty Lantz), Ralph (Marge Lantz), John (Mary Lantz), Larry (Diane Lantz), Lois (Richard Ludwig), Juanita (Robert Teeter) and Doris (Moris Ludue).
He is survived by: his wife Ida Lantz (Landmesser); his children, Dorothy Lee, William J. Lantz, Donna (Henry Norton), Karen (Ken Agnew) and Dora (Bob Vanderpool); his grandchildren, Thomas (Jen Lantz), Kyle (Stacy Lee), Alisha (Mike Polzella), Brittany (Trey Barrowcliff), Bethany (Casey Serfas), Joshua Carpenter (Melissa Coolbaugh), Jennifer Hemenway, Erin Norton, Amanda Norton, BillieJo Lantz, Clinton Lantz and Erik Agnew; his sisters, Phyllis Potter and Carol; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Powless and Karen Cianfoni Lantz. He is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (225 S Main St, Athens, PA 18810). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Bradford County Memorial Park (24052 US-6, Towanda, PA 18848).
