She is survived by: her daughters, Kirsten Barth Surak of Baltimore, MD and Susanne Marie Barth Kauffman (Jim) of Baltimore, MD; her grandchildren, Ryan, Caroline Surak and Bennett Kauffman; and her sister Sigrid Mueller of Kassel, Germany..
