He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Shala and Amelia G. "Mildred" Shala (Zelinsky); his wife Nancy Ann Shala (Grimes); and his siblings, Michael Shala and MaryAnn Cook (Shala).
He is survived by: his sons, Stephen A. Shala (Lynne) of Port Matilda and Christopher R. Shala (Lauren) of Stockertown; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Shelby, Trent and Gisele.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi (1046 W Cedar St, Allentown, PA 18102).
