He was predeceased by: his father Lester S.. He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Herring Martin; his children, James Jr. (Cindy Ann Martin) of Schuylkill Haven and Brenda (Trevor Reichert) of Townsend, MT; his grandchildren, James Martin, III, Holly Lyons, Corrine, Clint Reichert, Olivia and Dominic Hurst; and his siblings, Jay (Mariann Martin) of Lititz, Dale (Miriam Martin) of Millerstown, Daryl (Judith Martin) of Fredericksburg, Doris (Duane Martin) of New Holland and Marlene (Jesse Hursh) of Morrisville, VT. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to either the Bethseda EC Church, 23 Meadowbrook Rd., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 or the Roedersville Mennonite Church, c/o Jean Hurst, 1085 Rock Rd., Pine Grove, PA 17963 in his memory.
