Caroline will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Freiland (Scott Dietrich), Lisa Freiland and Eric Freiland; her grandchildren, Jocelyn and Conor Barth; her siblings, Kathleen Krugh (late Charles Krugh) and Ronald Weitz (Sharon); and her former husband James Freiland (Pam McMullen). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes (222 Washington Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15216). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Grace/ Church - St Michael (310 Kane Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15243).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary of Greater Pittsburgh or Bridges of Hospice, two organizations that reflect her commitment to helping others.
