He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John O'Connell and Elsie O'Connell (Lackner); his wife Mary Kader-O'Connell; his children, Sean, Ryan, Shannon and Kelli O'Connell; and his brother John O'Connell Jr. (Jeff).
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William Slater II Funeral Service (1650 Greentree Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15220). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Grace Church.
