He is survived by: his parents, Brenda McDonough Matechak and Daniel Matechak Jr.; his daughters, Hailey Matechak and Miley Matechak; his siblings, Daniel Matechak III (Annie) and Brittany Matechak (Mike); his nephew Daniel Matechak IV; his uncle Gary; and his aunt Anita McDonough.

Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. (621 Main St, Simpson, PA 18407). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Waymart Church (596 Honesdale Rd, Waymart, PA 18472).
