She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Chris Sheaffer and Dorothy Rosella Covert Sheaffer; and her brothers, Dean Robert Sheaffer (Jane) and Frederick Erwin Sheaffer (Alyce). She is survived by: her husband David Spencer Heindel; her sister Diane Sheaffer Helin (John "Jack"); her sister-in-law Jane Helin Sheaffer (Dean); her daughters, Amelia Heindel Haley (Kevin), Mary Heindel Eckert (Stephen) and Sarah Heindel Maddigan (James); and her grandchildren, Christopher Haley (Julie), Gregory Haley, Patrick Maddigan, Thomas Maddigan, Gretchen Eckert, Maximilian Eckert (Heather) and John Callahan Maddigan.
