With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Middleton Phifer of Scott Township, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Phifer and Dorothy Phifer; and his sister Eleanor Jeanne McLaughlin. He is survived by: his wife Mary Carol (Davin); and his children, Robert Charles Phifer, Christine Passen (Steven), Susan Flemming (John) and William Phifer (Nancy). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the William Slater II Funeral Service (1650 Greentree Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15220). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Jefferson Memorial Park (401 Curry Hollow Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236).
