He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar E. Cavanaugh and Velma O. Cavanaugh (Stouffer). He is survived by: his wife Catherine G. Cavanaugh (Hall); his children, Linda Millslagle of Mount Pleasant, Joyce Prutz (William) of Mount Pleasant, Karen Bandemer (Les) of Scottdale and John Cavanaugh (Lori) of Connellsville; his grandchildren, Jessica Henry (Keith) of Chattanooga, TN, Justine Kern of Denver, CO, James Bandemer (Katie) of Scottdale, Holly Millslagle of Colorado, Missy Giles (Jeff) of Acme, Jacob Cavanaugh (Molly) of Lemont Furnace, Zachry Cavanaugh of Connellsville, Julianne Prutz of Pittsburgh and Kimberly Cavanaugh of Connellsville; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte "Charlie" Bandemer, Beckett Bandemer, Felicity "Cici" Bandemer, Tobias "Toby" Giles and Hollyn Kern.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home (105 Spring St, Scottdale, PA 15683). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
