He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Gongaware and Marjorie Deemer Gongaware; and his brother James Gongaware. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne H. Gongaware of Scottdale; his children, Daniel P. Gongaware, Cindi M. Huffman (Duane) of Scottdale and Jeffrey M. Schaeffer (Jennifer) of Scottdale; his grandchildren, Alison Huffman, Bret Huffman (Kristen), Ella Kinter (Noah), Christian Huffman, Hannah Schaeffer, Tyler Schaeffer and Benjamin Schaeffer; and his uncle Ralph Deemer of Delmont.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 7:45 PM at the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. (417 Pittsburgh St, Scottdale, PA 15683).
