We bid farewell to Ann Elizabeth Schmieg Reap (Scranton, Pennsylvania), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 18, 2025 at the age of 88. Ann Elizabeth Schmieg touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Schmieg and Madeline Klein Schmieg; her husband James P. Reap; her son Kevin P. Reap; her grandchildren, Jessie Reap, Grace Ann Reap, Kevin P. Reap Jr. and Colin Reap; her siblings, Madlyn and William; and her in-laws, Ruth Schmieg, Alice Ann Coleman, Patricia Powell and Jerry Kearney.
She is survived by: her children, John Reap (Kathleen), Kathleen Crofton (Robert), Maureen Shea (Paul), James P. Reap Jr. (Aimee) and Brian Reap; her daughter-in-law Kathleen Kanavy Reap; her grandchildren, Tara Hogan (Michael), Robert Crofton, Daniel Reap, Dylan Reap (Vicky), Michelle Reap, Kaycee Harte (Matt), Kelly Reap, Paul Shea, James Reap III, Kathryn Shea, Connor Reap, Christopher Reap and Martin Crofton; her great grandchildren, Cecilia Hogan, Ellie Harte, James Harte and Adalyn Harte; and her brother Brian. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Church (1510 Penn Ave, Scranton, PA 18509). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
