We are sad to announce that on November 24, 2024, at the age of 80, Arthur J. Compton (Scranton, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine F. Petz; his parents, Clifford Compton and Mary Ellen Ransom Compton; and his siblings, Juanita Gray, Mae Eckert and Gary Compton.
He is survived by: his sons, James Compton (Frances) of Union Dale, PA and Dale Compton (Ginger) of Lenox Township, PA; his grandchildren, Nathan Belcher, Ashley Sumner (Troy), James Compton, Jr., Dustin Compton (Alicia) and Katrina Van Meter (Cody); his great grandchildren, Tristan, Rylie, Aidyn, Brixley Van Meter and Oliver Sumner; and his brothers, Raymond Compton (Tina) of Lenoxville, PA and David Compton (Sandy) of Hop Bottom, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
