He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Coyne and Helen Coyne; and his brothers, Michael (Catherine) and James (Kathleen). He is survived by: his wife Joanne Mackarey Coyne; his children, Rosemarie Coyne (Keith Cavallotti), Sadie Baldinucci (Tony), Gabriel Coyne (Samantha Erikhman) and Brianna Navoczynski (DJ); his grandchildren, Parker, Ezra, Asher, Wesley, Jaxon and Sophia; and his siblings, John Coyne, Sr. (Ellen), Mary, Joanne Hill (Robert), Patrick Coyne (Stephanie), Robert Coyne, Gerald Coyne (Marie Curmaci), Linda Marcks (Brian), Joseph Coyne (Paula Booth), Thomas Coyne and Paul Coyne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
