She was predeceased by: her husband James C. Canavan; her parents, Martin Loftus and Lucille Boston Loftus; her son-in-law Patrick Purcell; and her grandson Patrick "Toach" Purcell.
She is survived by: her daughter Beth Purcell Jenkins (David); her grandchildren, Matthew (Nicole), Bridget (Tyler) and Katie (Brandon); and her great grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan, Parker and Brayden. She is also survived by Great-Amma; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church (316 William St, Scranton, PA 18508). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
