Gavern of Scranton, Pennsylvania, born in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 25, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph "Joe" Gavern; her parents, Dominick Verrastro and Vita Grace Verrastro (Bochicchio); and her sister Marie Sileo. She is survived by: her daughter Cheryl Lewis (Scott); her granddaughter Jennifer Lewis (Georgeann); her children, Joseph Gavern (Yoko) and Denise McNamara (Thomas); her stepchildren, Peter McNamara (Hayley), Sarah Wetegrove (Nick) and Henry McNamara (Laura); her great grandchildren, Madeleine and Grayson Lewis; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Sloane Wetegrove, Cooper, Crosby and Wade McNamara; her brothers, Donato "Coach" Verrastro and Dominick "DeDe" (Dorry); and also, Canio, Leonard, Patrick and Salvatore Verrastro.
