He was predeceased by: his wife Mari Walsh; and his parents, William C. Walsh and Elvira Walsh. He is survived by: his siblings, William Jr. (Mary), Miriam (John), Carl (Eileen) and Conrad (Fran); his sons, Donald Jr. (Rebecca), Theodore (Susan), Kurt (Linda Naro), Leonard (Judith), Michael (Rhonda) and Jeffrey (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Donny, Clarke, Alexander, Corey, Natalie, Ethan, John Meledonian, Christina, Teddy, Katie, Eric, Kurt, Brandon, Sarah, Alesia, Lenny, Michael, Stephanie, Julia, Mira and Vanessa; his great grandchildren, Wilhelmina, Weston of Sophia, AJ, Penelope, Violet, Aiden, Adalynn, Charlotte and Henry; and also Gocha Shermadini. He is also survived by six sons, 21 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
