Ellen Halprin Strauss Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellen Halprin Strauss of Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 27, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her siblings, Barbara Rose of Plantation, Florida, Jay Halprin (Cathy Cunningham) of Charlotte, Nancy Halprin of Charlotte and Steven Halprin (Lisa Hosson) of Concord; her siblings' children, Lisa Rose Reber (Robert) of Laurel, Maryland, Jaime Rose Drummy (Matthew) of St. Petersburg, Florida and Jessica Ward (Halprin) of Concord; and her great-nephews, Liam, Miles Drummy, Paxton and Payton Ward.
A graveside service was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Temple Israel Cemetery West Warren. For information about Shiva, please contact the family.
Her first was with The Epilepsy Foundation (now the Epilepsy Foundation of America) where, after one year, at the age of 24, she was promoted to Assistant National Director of Information and Education.
