He is survived by: his parents, Robert Clay and Eleanor Clay (Koneff); his daughter Kaitlyn M. Clay; his sister Cynthia H. Turasky (Ed); and his niece Andrea Schmid (John).

Although the family appreciates the gesture of flowers, they humbly request that instead, donations in Elliott's name be made to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, P.O. Drawer 498, Emmitsburg, MD 21727 (firehero.org).
