It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frances A. Yankelitis of Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Stanley Yankelitis; her parents, Charles Symuleski and Frances Kania Symuleski; and her siblings, Peter Symuleski, Dorothy Maus and Theresa Nidoh.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Morgan (Rick), Donna Heiner (Steve), Stan Yankelitis (Jane Ann) and Mary Ann Ator (Frank); and her grandchildren, Rick, Kelsey (Max), Kristen (Colin), Michael, Jill, Ben (Sofie), Alexandria (Jordan), Gabrielle and Frank. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Semian Funeral Home (704 Union St, Taylor, PA 18517). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Divine Mercy Parish (312 Davis St, Scranton, PA 18505). A committal service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Mary Czestochowa Cemetery (3335 Greenwood Ave, Moosic, PA 18507).
