He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Kornfeld and Bertha Roth Kornfeld; his brother Leo Kornfeld; and his wife Helene Audrey Kearson. He is survived by: his children, Karen Bridge, Vicki Sullum (Jonathon), Gary Kornfeld, Janis Lipsitz (Brian) and Lori Doerr (Thomas); his sister Ruth Gelb; and his nephew Robert Gelb. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Donations can be made to the Scranton Jewish Community Center where he spent most of his years playing or coaching basketball, bowling or taking a schvitz.
