Henrietta Kessler Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Henrietta Kessler (Scranton, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 4, 2019 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Weiss and Mary Ellen Weiss (Smith); her husband Edward Sr; her sisters, Lois Corce, Joann Yourkowski, Florence Price and Ann Nunes; her grandson Ryan Hartranft; her son-in-law Scott Weech; her sister-in-law Shirley Lepkowski; and her parents-in-law, Ceil and Arthur Kessler.

She is survived by: her children, Tina Orner (Don Knight), Terri Weech of Lakeland, FL, Debbie Angell (Tim) of Winchester, CT, Sandra Gorba (Charles Rusinko) of Moosic, Lesa Hartranft (Allen) of Munroe, NC and Edward Kessler, Jr. (Joanie) of Madison Township; and her grandchildren, Colonel Aaron Angell, Dana Wells, William Orner, Triscia Lathrop, Tara Bomgardner, Brian Angell, Sargent, Sarah Hartranft, Edward Kessler, David Kessler and Joseph Kessler. She is also survived by twenty eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Camp Bravehearts, an oncology camp for women, 19 Cambridge Road Albany, NY 12203 or Compassionate Friends, Charlotte Chapter, care of Carol Patton, 5902 Rimerton Dr. Charlotte, NC 28226, two organizations that have meant a great deal to Hank and her family.
