With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Henry Joseph Casper Jr. (Scranton, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 15, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Casper and Agnes Gaylets Casper. He is survived by: his sisters, Cath Swantkowski (Henry) of Dupont and Betty Mertis of Plymouth; his siblings' children, Jake Swantkowski (Chan Hee) of Burke, VA and Ami Rusling (Jeff) of Philadelphia; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kyra, Jackson, Jacob and Casey.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ferri & Gillette Funeral Services (522 Fallon St, Old Forge, PA 18518). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:20 PM at the Cathedral Diocesan Cemetery (1708 Oram St, Scranton, PA 18504).
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to be directed to Wounded Warriors, 1013 Mumma Rd., Suite 203, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
