With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ignatius Gilarde of Scranton, Pennsylvania, born in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 11, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Pasquale Gagliardi and Rose Cali Gagliardi; his granddaughter Grace; his siblings, Sam, William, Joseph, Cataldo Gilarde, Carmella Cordaro and Angeline Griffiths; his niece Joanne Diskin; and his nephew Guy S. Gagliardi.

He is survived by: his children, Ignatius Jr. (Sandra), John (Kristine) and Adriane (Dominick York III); his grandchildren, Katie, Nello, Olivia, Nora Gilarde, Myah York, Danielle and Ciara O'Malley (Esther Leone); and his sisters, Concetta Ryan, Gracie Kolodgie and Florence Deluca.

All attending the visitations and services are asked to adhere CDC social distancing guidelines and masks will be required.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Center.
