With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James V. Martino of Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 9, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Martino and Angeline Martino. He is survived by: his wife Antoinette "Toni" Lanzo; his children, Dr. James (Gayle), Michelangelo and Maria Kovatch (Paul); his grandchildren, Alexa (Peter Sidari), Jimmy (Lucia Menichelli), Abby (Sebastian Michalak) and Katie (Alex Simmons); his brother Frank (Ann Marie); and his nephew Vincent (Anne). He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann's Basilica Parish or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
