With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice R. Gaeng (Scranton, Pennsylvania), who passed away on July 9, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Fred; her parents, Walter Wood and Lillian Kilor Wood; her sisters, Carol Wood Purcell and Lillian Wood Hayes (Lynn); her son-in-law Jerry Yale; and her granddaughter-in-law Megan Herrmann.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Herrmann (Karl) of Hawley, PA, Laura Yale (Ray Prisco) of Pleasant Mount, PA and Frederick Gaeng (Carolyn) of Willis Texas; her grandchildren, Jeremy Yale (Renee) of Camp Hill, PA, Amie Heller (Drew) of Coopersburg, PA, Jennylyn Sklanka (Wesley) of Uniondale, PA, Matthew Gaeng (Pamela) of Greeley, PA, Jason Herrmann of Philadelphia, PA and Kaitlyn Herrmann (Michael Pizzo) of Throop, PA; her great grandchildren, Luke Grim, Mason Grim, Eleanor Yale, Carys Yale, Maggie Sklanka and Ryin Heller; her friend Jane Sukenniak; and her pet Abby.
