He was predeceased by: his former wife Paulette Fraubert of Paris; his wife Lana Satterthwaite Cerato of Scranton; his parents, Gordon Howard and Dorothy Howard (Jeffrey); and his sister Gwendolyn Muzzi of Scranton.
He is survived by: his son Gardner P. (Pete); his daughter-in-law Rose Howard of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and his stepchildren, Jeffrey M. Cerato of Scranton and Lori J. Cerato of Stroudsburg. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
