He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Sr. Wells and Edna Ives Wells; and his brother Donald Wells. He is survived by: his wife Susan Schmidt; his children, Susan (Leroy Henry) of Scranton, John Wells III (Judy Schatz) of Ransom Township, Ann Marie Wells of Ransom Township and William Wells (Jocelyn Branas) of Scranton; his sister Frances (Henry Makowski) of Scranton; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Wells of Ransom Township. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
