He was predeceased by: his wife Komora; his parents, Nicholas Mielo and Anna Striano Mielo; and his siblings, Celia, Rose, Eva, Paul, Patrick, Carmen and Tony.
He is survived by: his son Joseph Mielo (Lora); and his siblings, Anna "Ann" Monacelli and Michael Mielo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc. (1030 N Main Ave, Scranton, PA 18508). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
