He was predeceased by: his parents, Rocco R. Scarfo Sr. 'Duke" and Grace Parola Scarfo; his son Joseph M. Scarfo, Jr.; and his siblings, Rocco, Ralph, Donnie Sr., Geno Scarfo and Franny Horton.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Kate" O'Connor; his children, Rocco Scarfo of Scranton, Lorrie Scarfo (Ava) of Virginia and Michelle Scarfo of Scranton; his grandchildren, Zachary, Jeremy Seabridge, Rocco Scarfo, Airiana Scarfo, Thomas, Kyle and Jaden Scarfo; his siblings, Patrick Scarfo (Helen) of Scranton, John Scarfo (Barbara) of Carbondale and Louise Fratzola Scarfo (Thomas J. Gazoo) of Scranton; and his siblings-in-law, Al Horton of Scranton, Maureen Scarfo of Scranton and Ann Scarfo of Canada. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
