It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Van Wie (Scranton, Pennsylvania), who passed away on August 4, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wie and Annarose Calpin Van Wie; his brother John Van Wie; and his daughter Regina Van Wie (Gina). He is survived by: his children, John (Janel), Kathleen Simrell (James), Joseph (Nasim), Patrick (Gabrielle), Meghan of Provo, Utah and Carolann (Connor Holdaway) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his nieces, Annarose Heisler and Aileen Van Wie; his siblings, Mary Heisler (David) and James Van Wie (Mari); and his grandchildren, Alaina, Livia, John Henry, Shamus, Kaddy, Posie and Oliver Patrick.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph's Center, 2010 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509.
