She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Johnston; her parents, Edward Peters and Jessie Hill Peters of Scranton; and her sisters, Jeanne Shields of Carmel, Lois Phillips of Scranton, Ann Richardson and Abington Twp.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Medford of Danbury, Connecticut and James Johnston of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
