It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martha Rodney (Scranton, Pennsylvania), born in Thornhurst, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 14, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clare W. Sr. Dutter and Minnie Webb Dutter; her siblings, Clare Dutter (Joe) of Kunkletown, PA, Albert Dutter of Madisonville, PA, Harry Dutter of Springbrook and Loretta Valvano LaCapra of Scranton, PA.; her husband John B. Rodney, Sr.; and her son John B. Rodney, Jr. of Quenomo.

She is survived by: her brother Peter F. Dutter of Springbrook, PA.; her children, Barbara Detz of Scranton, PA and Joseph P. Rodney of Winnemucca; and her grandsons, Jay Rodney, Jason Rodney and Timothy Rodney.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Martha Rodney's name may be sent to the church, Radical Faith Fellowship, Rear 214 West Market Street in Scranton.
