He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Thomas and Celina Lally; his wife Eileen Corbett; his daughter Julie; his siblings, Marie, Prendergast, Jack "Duke", Sally, Sweeney, Billy and Corbett; and his brother-in-law Bill Jordan.
He is survived by: his children, Anne of New York City, Celene of New York City, Little Marty (Stephanie Ferrara) of New York City, Katie, Jamie Cox of Cheshire, Conn., Ellie and Benton; his grandchildren, Gabe Vogt, Rosie Vogt, Danny Vogt, James Cox and Georgina Cox; and his pet Cooper.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Defense Fund, a nonprofit agency that advocates for children's rights.
