We bid farewell to Mary Ann Banno (Scranton, Pennsylvania), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 29, 2024 at the age of 87. Mary Ann touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Mary Ann shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Mary Ann farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by : her husband Anthony J. Banno; her parents, Joseph Diddick and Petronella Garvey Diddick; and her son Charles Banno. She is survived by : her daughter Mary Ann Sherman (Alan); her grandchildren, Michael Sherman, Nicole Root and Anthony Banno; her great grandchild Colton Root; and her daughter-in-law Debra Banno. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Church (316 William St, Scranton, PA 18508). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
