It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael F. Murphy of Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Murphy and Gladys Kluck (Mary); his significant other Ann Marie Laviola; and his nephews, Larry Napolitano III and Timothy Maloney Jr..

He is survived by : his stepson Anthony Laviola; and his siblings, Dennis Murphy (Mary), Taylor, Brian Murphy, Kevin Murphy, Jerry Murphy, Colleen Napolitano (Larry Jr.), Madison Twp, Maureen Maloney (Tim), Mary Ellen Beavers and Eileen Allegrucci (Carmen Sr.). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
