He was predeceased by: his parents, James Morgan and Elizabeth Batten; his sisters, Margaret Brace and Adelaide Martin; and his son-in-law Michael Mursch.

He is survived by: his wife Emma Kronberg; his daughters, Gayle Klaber (Tom) and Judy McDonough; his son-in-law Billy McDonough; his grandchildren, Lauren McLane (Tom), Gretchen Craycraft (Zach), Chelsea Mursch, Daniel Klaber and Alyssa Mursch; his great grandchild Riley McLane; and his sister Lorraine Newton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
