He was predeceased by: his parents, Darlene Hoffman and Noah Via; his siblings, Leonard and Sandy L. Tripple; and his daughter Betty F. Swiderski.
He is survived by: his wife Betty F. Dietrick; his children, Richard G. (Jamie L.) and Michele L. Swiderski; and his grandchildren, Richard J, Caden, Thomas J Pernice Jr. and Morgan Williams. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
