We are sad to announce that on October 1, 2025, Richard Robert Wisniewski of Scranton, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Richard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Richard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Felicia Wisniewski and Walter Wisniewski. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Siewell Wisniewski; and his siblings, Helen Marx and Walter Wisniewski. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eagen-Hughes Funeral Home (2908 Birney Ave, Scranton, PA 18505). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Divine Mercy Parish (312 Davis St, Scranton, PA 18505).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Divine Mercy Parish 312 Davis Street Scranton, Pa. 18505 or a charity of the donor's preference.
